New DUI for SOAR(A)

I have been following the progress with ARSOAC but I am wondering about the Distinctive Unit Insignia. I see that Army Heraldry approved changes, what does this mean for the old DUI? Don't get me wrong, the new one is pretty BA.

“It’s something that’s been long and coming,” said Spc. Arturo Dimas, Company D, 2nd Battalion, 160th SOAR. “With a separate patch, it distinguishes the unit as an organization under U.S. Army Special Operations Aviation Command.”

You know, an E-4, a guy who has been with the unit forever.

But it puts the earlier article/ other thread about the SOAC into perspective. Create the umbrella organization for the 160th to fall under.

With the changing of the patch, the 160th SOAR officially joins the USASOAC team.

At least the 160th's new patch looks good.
