Good day to all reading this. My name is Sergeant Baker (Frank). I joined the Marine Corps in January 2008. I'm currently serving in the USMC as a Landing Support Specialist (0481) as well as a Martial Arts Instructor (0916). I'm 27 years old and a newlywed (July 4th, 2015). My wife, unbeknownst to her, makes me painfully aware of how much I can self-improve just by being around her; watching her careful and well-planned movements with others, as if the very essence of grace and tact were rolled into the same person. I strive to be more like her everyday.
I have been thankfully approved to attend A&S 16-01 in Jan. 2016. I'm looking to serve at a higher capacity in the Corps and I'm looking to truly push myself beyond what I've previously done. I don't have much of a religious lifestyle. In fact, that's probably an overstatement. However, I do suspect my mind and body are more capable than I give them credit for. So this, SF, amongst other things, serves as my caveat to success in life. Without first challenging my body's limits, how can I possibly wish to go on to challenge the limits of my mind? And from what I'm told it's the latter which peaks highest.
Other few things about myself... I grew up with five brothers, no sisters. We didn't ever have much, although we never truly understood until we grew older to what degree. A military household though, my father being a Marine (retired infantry SSgt of 21 years) and my oldest brother currently a SSgt in Pensacola. I love most all sports I've tried. Football, basketball, running, jumping and the like are all great in my book. I had a go with boxing while in college too. It was a blast and certainly taught me a few things I didn't already know. I graduated from East Carolina University, majoring in philosophy, minoring in history (so I probably can't help you with your homework lol). I enjoy time spent with my wife, as she is great conversation and easy on the eyes. I don't have much part in politics, although I like to be well read. I'm all-around just an easy-going fellow.
