New pilot

Hello all,

I'm a newly selected AFSOC pilot for the CV-22 platform. The username is related to a joke between myself and a friend of mine. When i got the news of my selection to fly CV-22's, my friend, who is an F-22 pilot, called me and and congratulated me on getting "the wrong -22."

Welcome. So are you a fixed wing pilot and a rotary wing pilot? I've always been curious.

I came from the fixed wing community and tracked T-1's in flight school. Never been in a helicopter and all my hours are fixed wing. It's my understanding that the USAF is no longer taking studs from the helo track at ft. Rucker to fly the CV-22. I could be wrong though, we never hear from those guys after T-6's when they move away.
