What's up guys, I'm currently a Rifleman/LAV Scout with 4th LAR BN in the USMCR. I'm one of those rare, weird, 24 year old Lance Criminals with a college degree, but will hopefully be picking up here soon enough so I can submit a package for A&S. I enjoy whiskey on the rocks, a good dick joke, and long walks on the pavement under load questioning my existence.

In all seriousness, I consider myself a mostly dry sponge here to soak up what I can and hopefully soak enough up to someday overflow to help others. I'm not 195lbs of solid muscle and tiger's blood; I'm just a grunt who's looking to turn his love for his brothers into something more. If anyone has any questions, feel free to shoot them my way.

Welcome Marine!

I used to wonder why the Reserve Marines were occasionally segregated during Bootcamp; then I saw this mini-documentary about the life of a Reserve Marine - I'm sure it's just like this!

Welcome. I used to work with 4th a bit as well. Specifically in Helmand '09-'10.

Corvette and Blonde were just reserve standard issue 782 gear in the 70s.

Welcome, 4th LAR I used to work with those guys a little bit.

Small Marine Corps. I haven't deployed, but maybe you worked with some guys I know. Do you guys remember what company?

Hey devil, OPSEC! How do you think I learned to swim so well, the pool? Hell no, I HAD to learn to avoid drowning in pussy and free Jameson from driving around town rocking my chucks in my Corvette. It's a weird deal being a Reservist. You're not so much living in the kennel and the dog fighting pits every day, it's more like they just give you a really long chain and kick you out to fend for yourself. They send you out to find your own food and shelter and about the time you get comfortable and figure out how to weave in and out of the trees so your chain doesn't choke you, they yank on it just for the fun of it. The dogs in the kennel hate you because you get let out and the wild animals of the forest don't know what to think of you. Being in the Reserves is kinda like being in purgatory, but I had scholarships I decided I couldn't throw away so here I am one weekend a month.
