I was working a hurricane doing 3 HARs a day. To provided clarity on how bad I hate HARing; I would rather SPIEs naked through a cactus field with a burlap sack of badgers tied around my waist.

Great clip. It looked like the one PJ was a bit shocked when the hoist went all the way up.

Pretty standard for that type of extraction. PJ is hooked into hook of the hoist. This puts him in a higher position than the survior in the strops. Gives the PJ extra control of the survivor with his legs and being hooked in he can use his arms as well. opposed to having two rescue strops on a cable and the PJ having to hold on just like the survivor. FE has to bring the hoist all the way up so the survivor thats hanging lower can clear the cabin floor to be put in the helo.
