TL; DR Im a USMC Grunt stuck in a POG BTN. Want to start looking at my future career options as an operator.
Hello everybody,
A quick introduction about me as a person, I am 23 about to be married and have a baby on the way (super excited). I enjoy combat sports, and MTG as my two main hobbies.
Alright now for the real s***. I am in the marine corps. Infantry.. rah? Anyways I dreamed of being a door kicker and with a high GT score I got yoked up to be a 52 at ITB. And here I am! For those that dont know an 0352 is an antitank missleman. We shoot weapon systems like the javelin and the saber (tow missles). We also operate mounted so we are proficient in shooting the 50, 240, and mk19. I got a little unlucky as I got orders to a tank btn. We are the only grunts here and its pretty frustrating. Beyond that what my career path looks like is frustrating. No deployment is coming, and while I do get solid and varied training in really all areas off our infantry.. I cant help but feel cheated. With a family now things get a little weird but I want to start thinking about the possibilities of becoming an operator, as that seems like the only way I can turn this franchise around. Any comments or questions are welcomed. See you guys around.
