Two Afghani policemen were rescued by GROM in Andar district in Ghazni province on June 27th. The hostages were being moved on a regular basis. They were located by tactical intelligence units. The operation was a coordination between Special Operations Soldiers and Tactical Aviation Support.
"Once the Policemen were in the Mi-17 helicopter they knew they were safe. They cried the whole way back to their base" - said ISAF spoksman Lt. Kostecki, "the yare feeling fine and they thanked the Soldiers many times over and over".
"The succes of the operation - doubed by commanders as a 'surgical strike' - was possible thanks to a close coordination between special forces and conventional aviators. Polish sodliers once again proved they can undertake the most difficult of tasks.".
