Redacted CIA brief's to the President from 28 Jan 1968--two days before the start of the Offensive--and from 30 Jan 1968. These events were also concurrent with the USS Pueblo crisis in North Korea.

This one is from a few days later. Interestingly, the brief reports the area around Khe Sanh being "unusually quiet." While the Viet Cong attacked provincial and district capitals in the south, the NVA was quietly moving divisions into the Khe Sanh, Lang Vei, Route 9 area. The storm was about to hit...
