Hey guys I just ahbe a quick question. If you do 4 years active duty and then leave for 4 years to do college. If you come back to the military after college to be an officer, does your prior 4 years go towards your 20 over all for retirement?

In short, yes so long as your service was honorable.

YES!

My brother in law is on his 4th different enlistment, all counting towards his retirement, all separated by years in break of service.

I joke he is the highest paid O-5 in DOD...also the oldest....
