This is a fascinating book. A deep wreck diving legend and legend in the making discover an unknown U-Boat off the coast of New Jersey 1991. It would take 6 years, tens (if not hundreds) of thousands of dollars, 3 lives (including a father and son on the same dive), numerous close calls, and 2 marriages before they could finally identify the sub. The author does a great job of making technical diving, and wreck diving, understood by the masses. It is a very gripping read that also buffers the action with the "real" work spent researching U-Boats, talking to experts, and even speaking with family members of the deceased once they conclusively ID'ed the sub.

I thought it was a little cheesy at times and pumped up the main protagonists, but I don't think you could discredit their work and devotion to the cause of ID'ing the sub. It is written well enough that I devoured this thing in less than a week.
