Hello I'm bishop glad to have found this site hope to learn more of it I have former training g in the area of 8653 firmly known as 8451 hope this is good enough for my intro

I suggest you stick to saying welcome.
This is outside my lane since I'm not a moderator but I think SOTG warrior was asking if in fact you were an 8653 dive qualified reconnaissance Marine or if you only "have former training g in the area" of that speciality which I find confusing as well since being a reconnaissance Marine is kind of like being pregnant. You either are or you aren't. I'm not familiar with the 8451 MOS. This may be the old MOS designator for the Marine scouts that did the amphib recon for General Washington when he crossed the Delaware or something but it's not something I'm familiar with. I am familiar with the 8541 MOS that proceeded the 0317 Scout Sniper MOS but numbers matter. For example while an 0302 MOS Marine is an infantry officer, a 3002 MOS Marine is a supply officer. Basically the same thing but totally different.

In an unrelated subject, this one time at Angel Thunder 14 I had some former training in the area of pararescue so I'm basically a PJ. Suck it @amlove21

Well done.

What @TLDR20 is saying is that welcome threads are for welcoming. We will handle the vetting issue, no worries.

@Bishop welcome to the site.

Yeah I get it. Intros are for saying welcome. We are trying to not call people out as soon as they say hello.
