SWCC operations on vehicle boarding???

I've looked into SWCC operations and from what material I've read SB's participate in vehicle boarding operations, but do they actually board the vehicles as well? Understandably a SEAL detachment will clear the ship/boat but who takes control of the vehicle once cleared? It would seem SB's are more capable to do this more so than per se an SO but I'm still hazy as to SOP after boarding and clearing actions are taken.
