Soo, I’m kinda stuck here. I’m planning on preparing for the PJ pipeline and I was wondering if it would benefit me more to buy a pair of fins at some point to get used to having them on as opposed to just swimming barefoot.

I know from what I’ve seen or heard that at some point during INDOC I’ll have to use them, but is there really that much of a difference? Is it a bit harder to swim with/without fins?

I will let the BTDTs pipe in whether it's worth it vis-a-vis PJ school/indoc. There is that much of a difference, and the technique is different. Now, whether you should/shouldn't, I will leave that up to them.

You'll start fining in BA Prep.
Someone better than I can chime in on what type of fins you'll need.
I'd try to get the fins used at school, as different fins work your legs/thighs differently.
Harder initially as fining (for me) was a different kick then bare feet, so getting experience before hand makes sense to me.
