I found this forum a while ago but have been lurking and learning as a non-member for a while but it's time I make things right and introduce myself and my intentions as I begin, what I hope to be, the push to secure an 18x contract to begin my career as a part of the Army Special Forces community.
I was born to amazing parents in the hills of WV and had a great childhood in the woods hunting, fishing, playing 'war', riding atv's, skiing, bailing hay, fixing broken stuff, working in the garden, and just about anything else an Appalachian kid can get into to entertain myself out of doors in order to keep out of trouble. I have an athletic background in high school and college, studied abroad in Austria, Switzerland, and Spain, and have seen but a sliver of the world and can't wait to see more. I've realized that being part of the world of consumers and corporate drones is not for me and I've committed to my long suppressed desire to put in the work required to get into the ranks of the Army SF teams and live a life that means something.
