Hey guys, My name is Joey. Through out my entire life I've felt this calling to serve and protect. I was a collegiate soccer player who moved on to being injured in the trial phases of pro ball for my cities team.

First I wanted to be a Physical Therapist and work with vets to help get them back into a life they can manage on their own. The longing to be there to help vets has grown and now I want to be that guy who comes from the skies and saves you and your injured and carry them off to the hospital just to get back to base and so I can do it all over again.

I'm here looking for a PJ to talk to, about the job and possibly mentoring me prepare and beat the pipeline.

Welcome to the site, I guess....

So... if I read your post correctly: You got injured severely enough that you lost a pro soccer career, then figured that physical therapy wasn't for you, and now you want to be a bullet sponge superhero PJ who swoops down from the skies to save people, and you want somebody to help you beat(?????) the PJ pipeline?

Good luck with all of that.

Welcome to SS. As noted, you were unable to continue with athletics at the collegiate level. I was wondering if you continued with and completed the academic portion of undergraduate time?

Everyday, veterans join this forum, guys and gals who have put their butts on the line countless times, who have not only been through all kinds of training, but have been to war, in many cases several times. None of them use introduction titles, telling a entire forum of thousands of combat veteran, many of whom have served in SOF units, that they are the "man who would take a bullet for all of us".

A bit of advice; save that bravado bullshit for dead head chicks and your frat buds. In this community its all about "don't tell me about it, show me" and lets hope you never have to nut-up on taking rounds, if and when you serve this country.

Welcome to the site.
