30 Years Ago Today - Lebanon Marine Barracks Bombing

Requiem in Pacem to all 241 US Marines, 58 French Paratroopers and assorted civilians killed.
This is something we should never forget.

My Father In-Law was there when it happend. Can't remember the exact way he told it but he said an NCO made him and another Marine go get food or coffee for them and the bombing happened while they were out. Told me and has some newspaper clipings about how he hid out for a few days and was presumed dead.
