FYI… I moved the Olympics conversation over to the Olympics thread. The back-and-forth was beginning to taint the innocence and purity of our beloved Dot Thread…
Having done that numerous times at half the speed, I cannot begin to articulate how painful that is.
Many people don't understand but ski racing, particularly slalom (the video was actually from a Super G event back in 2007 ) is a full contact sport. The SL racers wear protective gear and padded races suits. The plastic gates can leave massive bruises. Some people have broken bones hitting them. I had one break a helmet.
