I noticed they commemorated the day at Ft Benning.

I missed the service this year at work, tied up with an ICAM investigator course and trying to load bomb early to keep the mining operation going, meant missing the dawn service. Great to see all the boys catching up on facebook though, mini reunions all over the country.

I didn't attend this year due to study. I did forget a shout out to our kiwi brothers, so apologies there. One thing's for sure, I don't go to Bondi anymore, it's so huge now. To give the outta towners an idea, the focus is blue building in some of the photos is known locally as the Rat House, after the Rats of Tobruk. The Cenotaph is under the little trees off to one side, you can't even see it if your 30 metres in.

I just read an article about Gallipoli and how it is tied to Australia/New Zealand consciousness.

Why does Gallipoli mean so much?
