Hey guys,

Finally decided what I want out of the military and have been working with an army recruiter on obtaining a 68w opt 40 contract.

Everything was going great until it came to a prior diagnosis of anxiety during my senior year of high school and freshman year of college. Was prescribed a taken-as-needed benzo for those two years and haven't taken it nor have I had any other medical issues since. This was 4 going on 5 years ago now to give some back story. Since I have graduated college and gotten my NREMT-P. I have gone to my doctor and gotten a note clearing me of the medications and so on.

I've read in past threads that any med waivers at all will DQ you, I've read that if you have been off meds and no issues for years you will not be DQ'ed. I know it's a case by case basis at MEPS and they will not really look at you as a whole (asvab, college, certs) when considering medical DQ or not. Just wondering if anyone as any information or advice for me in trying to obtain this contract.

I'd appreciate it.

Marcus
