Former Infantry vet thinking about re-enlistment.

Hi, I have been dreaming about going back in the military for 10+ years. I got out of the 101st ABN in 2004 after going to Iraq in '03. I've missed it every day. So I just recently spoke to my battalion commander on FB. He said he would write a recommendation letter for the recruiter. He was an O-5. I currently am 60% service connected but not for anything physical. What are my chances of getting back in?

So I just got off the phone with the recruiter. He didn't make it sound impossible. Since my service connection diagnosis is just general anxiety disorder and not PTSD. So I need to get my DD214. Send a copy to my battalion commander. He will write the letter. I also need to get a copy of my medical records. I asked him about Option 40. Because I want to go as hard as I can. I didn't get to go Airborne before. I always idolized Rangers.
