That video clip sounded absolutely unhinged.
We "helped" Obama Bin Laden escape from Tora Bora because 'muh Military Industrial Complex?
We only "caught" Bin Laden because Barack Hussein Osama needed the bump in the polls to get reelected?
Where in the actual fuck does such a claim come from?
What reality exists where this is considered a serious accusation?
What's next?
Is he going to tell us that the asteroid that killed the dinosaurs was sent by the oil companies so we could have a petrol based economy?
Is he going to tell us that 'Big Rubber' conspired with Greyhound to invent Bus Transit because 'Big Railroad' refused to put a set of BF Goodrich Radial T/A's on their locomotives?

I want to say it was mentioned in the Dalton Fury book, but I can't recall with 100% certainty.
When SOB Tactical was small and his subscription service was new-ish, you could message him and have a pretty good chat about, we'll, anything. I dropped the subscription service about a year ago but even that far back he was less and less available and approachable. Now he wants to be a Jocko-TMac mash up and getting on tons of podcasts.
I think he got his bell rung one too many times.

The vet-bro crowd saw that the guns, gear, and tactical training biz was relatively capped, and also required a lot of energy on their part, so they've gone into podcasts. They need to reinvest and reinvest, and they need to get j-u-s-t enough separation from the other guy to be different.
Of course some stories stand the test of time and are irrefutable, and others change over time.
I don't get why he'd or any of the others embellish on such a public stage; if he's lying and he knows he's lying, he's going to get outted. If his story is what he thinks that's a whole different kettle of fish.
I think his story in that video is crap and @Gunz is probably right, with all the jumping, BJJ, and range time he got his bell wrung.
Our DODEA Elementary is RIF’ing seven positions. The position that stings the most from what I’m tracking is they won’t have a dedicated IT person at the school. Unsure about the Middle/High School, but if they are cutting the elementary school position I’m making an educated guess that the MS/HS job is also getting cut. If that’s the case, they will have one person for 64 schools in Europe.
They would go even further than one per district? The DoD has moved towards a centralized NOC per command. 1 person for 64 schools and what's probably 10,000-ish computers, servers, printers, and network-enabled devices? 10k would require about 15-20 personnel across the board. Helpdesk, sys admins, network, software pushes and remediation, etc. How many contractors are involved?

I'm starting to notice that sometimes what "looks" like corruption is really just uninformed leadership.
...it isn't even malicious in nature - it's just a by product of "cool dudes" moving up the corporate ladder based on personality and charisma as opposed to competence and performance.

With the current hiring freeze and mass layoffs we've promoted two within our org to GS-14 level positions, are backfilling their open slots, interviewing for two new GS-14 positions, and interviewing outside candidates to fill engineering positions vacated by the DRPs.
We'll either need a waiver for the next round of cuts, those -14 positions will go away, or we gut the workforce to where those -14's are supervising ghost positions.
The DRPs have stripped us of folks who would retire anyway so the next round of DRPs will see us lose little to no people via that avenue.

Our Ech II released the losses from the recent DRP's/ Fork email. 9.5% of the command. The range was 5-8%, though if there was a hard number the rank-and-file never saw that data. That said, I also don't know how recent newly opened positions and backfills shaved the 9.5 down to 9.4 or .3 or whateverthehell. My department was undermanned when this began and we took some DRP hits dropping our numbers even further. We also have so many acquisitions coming up and/ or moving to the SAP side that we're asking for more people. I have no idea, not an inkling about how this will affect next year's cuts.
For us, cyber, engineering, and SAP are the only portions backfilling or hiring.
