La Roux,
I don't have a date for this video but it had to be in the late '50s-early '60s. Check out the uniforms, standard fatigues with full color patches, rank, white name tape & wings. They had M-1 rifles & 1911 Colt .45's. also check out the parachutes-looks like T-7s, They are not T-10's or MC-1's.
This was when Training Group had 3 Phases; Tactics & Techniques Phase I, Phase II (MOS), & Phase III-a full scale operation in the hills (Free Pineland) where Robin Sage is located now. This video has 7th SFG(A) on an operation in West Virginia probably before SFTG developed to 3-phases. I was in SFTG in 1967 and we wore solid OD-Green Jungle fatigues with subdued patches and Jungle Boots. This was several years before that. Special Forces has come a L-O-N-G way since then.
If someone has a date on this video I would like to know when it was made. Thanks from an "OLD GUY".
