Hello everyone.

I'm a former Comm Sgt for an ANGLICO Firepower Control Team. Exciting stuff. I exited the Marines a few years ago, like so many, for a gal who is no longer relevant - something about living with us hey? What hasn't stopped nagging me is that exiting the USMC caused me to miss out on an opportunity to become a JTAC and control aircraft on my own without needing a JTAC present or on the hook. Perhaps I even miss the general excitement that was inherent to that kind of job like the jumping, CH-46 rides and shows of force (of course machine guns). Admittedly, I also miss developing others and being developed myself through that process, a process that isn't quite the same in the civilian world.

Down and dirty version looks a little like this:
EAS... Hooray! Right?... right?? ehh
Living fat and "happy"
Break up
Just fat (if you can't tape out you're a pig)
Realization of what really made me happy
Strive to achieve that realization

Details look like this:
I'm here looking for the best ways to ensure I attain my goals, beyond fortitude and setting clear well defined goals for myself (physical fitness goes without saying I think). I'm working toward my goals by improving my lifestyle (sleep, diet, social circle (which is another reason to be here)) as well as my mile time, push-ups, sit-ups, pull-ups etc. I'm at 7:10 miles and faster every day.

I plan on mostly lurking. It seems like there's a lot of good advice around here already, so I don't see a need to create a dozen new threads. My first step is to get some time in with a good unit by supporting a local NG SF group on the intel side while I work on... SOFening :-/... my now nice civilianized Nancy feet. The long term goal is to become a member of an SF team in that group and eventually an 18F. I've read the thread about the importance of the 25M target philosophy, so I won't delve too deeply into the long term until I close in on those targets.

If you're still reading, thank you. This is a great resource to have, so even if you skipped here, to the end, thank you for being a part of this and making yourself available for inquiry.

WildEagleFactual, out.

Welcome.
Think about joining the SF mentor group her eon the site.
You do realize that 18F is a long long way down the road, right?

Oh yes. Very far. I only mentioned it for full disclosure. 25M target is, get accepted to even tryout (NG's SFRE). Waiting to hear from a recruiter. Wilco on the mentor, I'll be verified/more trust worthy soon.

Thanks for the welcomes, everyone.
