Bro from gym who hired me for wallet, hired me for a straight razor sheath.

This was what I came up with. I copied from something I saw but did a bunch of measurements.

A good friend of mine, one of my groomsmen, Ryan and I were talking.

Amy, his wife is a social media marketing specialist for several companies in our region.

She's been bugging on me to get my leather business going. Since I've sold to 3 people, 1 I don't know, 2 I do, I've made the decision to proceed.

She'll set me up with IG/FB accounts for my projects. We'll see how it goes.

Papy Louis's Mercantile.

The background to that being, Papy Louis was 1 of my great grandfather that survived the holocaust, slave labor as a shoe cobbler. Immigrated to US, settled in Philly, worked as cobbler, battled with memories until he died, I never had honor of meeting him.

I'm asking this...

Those who know me well, any other idea of a business name?

Sure, most won't know the Muppet reference, but it will add mystique and a talking point. Drop or add the the WWI part depending on yout target audience.

Go with your gut, it's not only unique but means something to you. The story behind it might help compell new customers to you, especially if you have the story put in the "About" description on your social pages and website if you go that route.

Papy Louis Leather/ Leathersmith/Leathercraft/Leathersmithing
Papy Louis Mill/ Millworks/ Mercantile/Cobbler
Papy Louis/ Louis’ Tanning

Shorten it to PLL or “PL (whatever)”

Mine would be “Papy Louis Leatherworks” or really reverse it from a traditional sense “The Cobbler Papy Louis.” Both honor the man. One is traditional and the other is unique without being trendy.

Is Muppet in a business name trademarked?

I’d avoid a military/first responder connection in the name.
