Greetings! I am former Navy (FMF corpsman, cross-decked to Officerdom and got commission as Navy RN, total TIS 13 years. Now "just a nurse", experience in ED, trauma, critical care/CC transport, tacmed/CBRNE, hyperbarics/dive medicine, radiology. Before the awesome and sexy job of "Murse" (male nurse), I was EMTP/tacmed. I joined because I missed the mil community and while I was not SoF I was around it peripherally and still have some friends in the community, and just miss the mil-type community. Happy to be here.

I applaud your going after an RN, and all the electives you have been able to chase down. It bothers me to hear or see the "just a nurse" phrase. You carry a heavy burden. You know that, I know that and your patients know that. There are many pathways in military nursing, from the admin side, and on up the expanded roles for nurses. To be honest, we need the good bedside folks more than anything else.

Welcome to SS.
