Well, It was cool. I miss it. We had the old 60's barracks and I imagine life in division is pretty much the same as it was back then. In 97, I was attached to Bco. as a senior line medic when Bco. and Cco. went to Saudi for 4 months and Aco. went to Haiti for 4 months. We still ran area-J, ran by repo depot and yelled CHERRY and so on... We had a batt C.O. that looked like Yoda.
I think that the barracks were torn down, if I am not mistaken across from the Airborne shoppette, next to brigade about your time. We still drank like fish and partied during DRF-7 and had those god aweful inspections for DRF-1 / DRB-1, bla, bla, bla... Anyway, I miss some of it. Time in division was rewarding, then I did not think so but I do now. Oh, yea. Thanks for your service brother.F.M.
