I wanted to be an Aircraft Loadmaster in the Air Force[1A2X1]. However, I was fat and out of shape when I decided to pursue that job. I realized my priority should be improving my level of conditioning before going to speak with a recruiter. While I've been improving my physical capabilities I've also learned more about the military and the opportunities it provides, during this time I've developed an interest in being a CCT or a Ranger.

I'm 23 and I live near Tampa, Florida. I'm currently unemployed so technically all of my time is spare time. I spend my spare time reading, training and spending time with friends and family. I've been reading this forum for around a month and made this account to speak with people who've interests similar to mine and to take advantage of the mentor program.

Welcome to SS. My hat is off to you for doing the work, on your own, to prepare for the military. Too many look for the easy path, and for the spoon that feeds them; entitlement for short.

So what uniform will you wear, and when will you put it on?

Thank you. I got all the way up to 260, my natural weight should be 160-170. I was completely sedentary for years too. It's taken a long time to get to this point but the goal of enlisting has really helped me lose the weight. I've two main jobs I'm shooting for, CCT and Ranger, because I know nothing is guaranteed. Even earning a contract for either doesn't guarantee anything. I still have some time to make my decision so I'll have to get back to you on that. I can't really say for CCT, I would just to see how swimming goes. My swimming is nonexistent. Pursuing being a Ranger should be about three months away, then I could get the ball rolling with a recruiter.
