Hey everyone,
Thanks for the opportunity to learn from the best on these forums, I'm looking forward to communicating and working with all of you. I'm currently a junior at Geneseo State University in upstate New York studying International Relations and Spanish. I play lacrosse for the school, and I've been playing team sports my whole life. In the past couple years, I've started thinking seriously about serving in the military after graduating in 2016. I'm leaning towards the Air Force, and I'm specifically interested in the STO and CRO career fields. I know they're extremely competitive, that's part of the reason why I want to pursue one of them. Unfortunately I started to realize that this was what I want too late to get an AFROTC spot. At this point, I'm about 85% sure I'm going to try for an OTS spot as soon as I can after college.
Thanks again for taking the time to help answer some of my questions

Welcome.

Make sure you know all the ins and outs when talking to an OTS Recruiter, I don't even know if it's possible to get a CRO/STO/CALO slot out of OTS.

I've spoken with a few people about this, in order to get a slot you have to choose a career field that allows you to cross-train, and then apply for phase I and if you are accepted and allowed to cross train you can move on to phase II

Welcome! Some amazing resources and information here if you take the time to get to know folks.
