I'll start with raised in New Orleans, went to La Tech and was AFROTC there with a pilot slot after graduation. Went to Lackland for Field Training in '88, Airborne School, class 32-89 Delta Co, and decided flying wasn't going to be my thing. I decided to enlist after I got my degree and pursue Combat Controller, Combat Weather, or some avenue of Air Commando. Cutbacks curtailed my plans, and instead I got hired by the FAA to be an ATC for the last 24 years. My passion and support for the military has remained. While I don't possess the SO background, I have years of ATC and government service, and can hopefully guide others along a better path than the one I took. The information provided here is priceless, and I have a few things to pay forward....

Welcome to SS. Pushing aluminum around in the air is demanding, and stressfull. Thanks for looking out for us all those years.

I live near Ft. Benning.....But, I'm thinking about relocating to the area when I retire from the FAA to get more active with the Air Commando Association and possibly get a Civilian job at Hurlburt....

The Combat Talon is one of my favorite planes.

I prefer the fabulous four engine fighter that is on display across from Cherry. But then again, I may be a little bias towards the old lady.
