I go by the name WhiteShadow. If you like, you can call me Dan. I first came across SHADOWSPEAR while conducting some research on a topic that ended up in one of the threads.

I am a prior enlisted Marine and spent my active duty time stationed at Camp Pendleton with two separate deployments to Iraq ISO Operation Iraqi Freedom 1 & 2. Additionally, I spent time as a drilling reservist ISO of MCIA in Quantico and the CJCS J-2 ISO forward deployed troops engaged in OEF and OIF. My MOS was 0231 / Intelligence Specialist.

As a civilian, I have supported several DIA and DoD programs as an Intelligence Analyst covering both the conventional and asymmetric sides of intelligence operations.

I look forward to participating on the forums, as there have been a lot of good discussions I have seen and there are some individuals here with a wealth of knowledge concerning both historical and current operations.

Did you live in those old crummy barracks? I went through in 2004 and they had really nice barracks for us.

I lived in the newer barracks for the last two months I was there, spent the majority of the time in the old barracks. I was at Dam Neck for almost a year as they put me on a med board for my knee. Left Dam Neck in Nov. 2001 with orders to 1st Intel BN P&A Co.

Thanks. I did my reserve time at MCIA in 2008/09, and then moved to HQMC CJCS J-2. MCIA did some good route/survey analysis back in '02-'03 ISO of I MEF downrange.

I realized I was there in '02. I was activated and assigned to CJTF-CM in '03. Were you at camp commando? I used to come up from Camp Doha to visit.

Yeah, I hit Camp Commando in October '02 and then crossed the LOD with the I MEF command element as the 24hr advance jump team in the IOC/COC at the onset of operations. Spent OIF II in Ramadi in the TFC as the Intel Liaison with A Co. / 5th SFG and the Civil Affairs engagement team.
