Hello everyone!
I want to start by thanking the administrators on this site as well as all former, current, and future military service members. I have friends and family in all branches and MOS/job fields. I believe all are cut from the same thread.
I am a career firefighter/paramedic and back-up Arson investigator. I love my job, but I am looking at doing more. I am looking at a few NG/Reserve units and I am hoping to get a little more insight before making my decision. I look forward to gaining more knowledge from the guys on this site.

Actually several thoughts. 11B or 68w most likely. As far as where... I have these thoughts and would enjoy any advice as well.
B Co. 2 Battalion 19th SFG in Columbus OH, A Co. 2 Battalion 20th SFG in Chicago Ill, Tropp C 2-152 (LRS unit) Indiana NG.
Also, The KY National Guard has CCT's and PJ's in Louisville. That isn't far away either.
None besides the LRS unit have a short pipeline but lucky for me I have a supportive wife and kids at home.
Thoughts?

IL ANG has a TACP unit, and IIRC KYNG has a intel support unit for 20th SFG.
Be careful when dealing with Guard Recruiters, make sure what you want is in the contract BEFORE you sign.
