Hello all, my name is Nick and I am a 19 year old working full-time as a security guard for an industrial company. I have been wanting to become an Air Force Pararescueman ever since I was a freshman, but I have run into some trouble. When first going to MEPS, I was disqualified due to an eye disorder that I did not have; which was verified by my own doctor. My eventual waiver was rejected, and now I am currently working with a recruiter to possibly appeal this. While I am faced with all odds against me, I have refused to give up, I will try everything I can to become a member of the US Military's most elite rescue force. I hope to learn a lot from this site, and I believe that I can.

Welcome to ShadowSpear!

I wish you the best of luck. If something should happen that you don't get that waiver...drive on to your next target and be a success at it. There are many ways to serve.

Again, best of luck in getting your waiver!

Welcome, bud! I too wanted Pararescue, I took my PAST a couple weeks ago, did well on it, but the TAPAS flagged me as a 'no-go', fortunately I was cleared for TACP. Good luck man! It's definitely sounds like a very rewarding job. Hope it works out for you!

Welcome. Lot's of knowledge to to found on this site if you take the time to seek it.
