My name is Joe DeAntonis. I am an Air Force vet, 304x4, 86-90. My interest in this forum centers around my son. He is graduating from college in a few days and then heading off to basic training in about a month. He is currently signed up to be a TACP, but if he can shave a few more seconds off of his run he can go the CCT route. I have read all I can find on both fields, but I am looking forward to bouncing some questions off of people that have actually walked this particular walk. Thanks.

Welcome, to SS, Joe. You got out the same year I retired my Blue Suit. I think It's great that you are on board with us for your son. You prolly have some things to pass along to the newbies. Have ya thought of recruiting your son to our site? He would have direct access to Mentor groups for both TACP, and CCT.

If you recruit him, you get a prize. No toasters or new cars, but I think I can get a cookie or two for ya;-):D.

Thanks, I will pass this on to him. It looks like a great resource. Early on I was reading about basic training and it said "this isn't your Dad's Air Force anymore" and I'm pretty sure that's an accurate statement!
