My name is Austin and I have what people of the unmotivated sort might consider an unhealthy obsession with earning a place as an 18D in 10th SFG. I'm your run of the mill guy. 21 and healthy. Not to mention Texan. If you were to ask what the motivation behind wanting to earn a green beret was, I'd probably say something stupid. I welded this strange idea to my heart that I wanted to be something more and it stuck. I'll put a detailed explanation in my bio.
I've lurked around a few of the sights and learned a ton of great information. For me, this website is like opening the floodgates to an abundance of what if's. Similarly, I'm someone who has a habit of using binoculars to stare at the 100m target. I find I need to remind myself it’s the 10's and 20's that get you there.
I'd taken the ASVAB and had the scores but the wonderful and overwhelmingly friendly soul snatchers at MEPS have a funny way of doing things. I'll include that story in my bio as well.
For now, I’ll train.
