Hello everyone. I just finished at James Madison University in May of 2016 with a Bachelor of Arts in International Affairs and Spanish. I contemplated doing Marine Corps PLC my sophomore year of college, but then got an awesome internship opportunity that eventually led to a job in my desired field. After about a year of work I've decided that the Marine Corps is really what I want to do. My Dad was a Marine for 24 years, before him my Grandfather was a Marine. I've contracted for OCS, and my package will go to the OCS board in July. I'm hoping to attend OCC 226 in September. I've always wanted to go Recon/MARSOC, hence joining ShadowSpear. I look forward to gaining the knowledge that will help me on my desired career path.

Thank you again for the warm welcome. I just found out I was selected for OCS class 226. I'll ship to Quantico 9 September 2017. I couldn't be more ready to get there and get to work. I welcome any input/advice anyone is willing to give, feel free to PM me.

Pretty sure you don't get an MOS until TBS. All you get is ground, aviation, or jag when shipping. At least that was how it went when I deciding between Corps and Army. @Teufel would probably have the most up-to-date as it was back in '09 when talking with recruiters.

That's correct. Granted I got my MOS almost 15 years ago but things haven't changed much.

That is correct, Sir. I'm a ground contract, but I won't find out my MOS until near the end of TBS.
