Hello,
I am a Marine Sergeant, MOS 2171 Electro-Optical Ordnance Technician. I began training for A&S using the MARSOC Fitness Preparation App in January of 2017. I was feeling strong and confident in my results, and then I was hit by a SUV while riding my bicycle to work. Fortunately for me I sustained no long-term injuries. I recently rucked my first 5 mile since that accident and averaged an 11:36 pace. I'm working every day to improve and taking every training opportunity provided by my unit to further prepare myself for A&S.
I have a great network of peers and mentors that are involved with MARSOC and I wouldn’t have started again without that Staff Sergeant CSO kicking me in this direction. If you're here, thanks brother.
