I recently graduated from university and am looking to enlist. Would appreciate any and all information, particularly information related to NSW and AFSOF. Most pressing question at the moment is regarding the change from SOWT to SR. Recruiter stated it was mostly a rebranding attempt by the Air Force but that didn’t scratch my itch on the topic. Thank you sir for the quick reply. I am speaking to a SOF recruiter. From my limited understanding, the job of a SOWT as it is now is to gather and dispense weather data to aid aircraft. Is the job in of itself changing? He made a comment about attempting to incorporate SOWTs into “access packages” and how this change would allow them to be more impactful. I apologize if this is easily discoverable information.
