Hello, everyone. I'm a non-prior service Medical school graduate with an interest is Air Force SOST. Currently I'm completing the last of my STEP exams in order to apply for next years cycle with the goal to Match into a general surgery residency. I am an American by birth, but a foreign med school graduate, thus I'm currently contacting Air Force recruiting to see if commissioning in a non-physician career field prior to residency via OTS would be an option. I'm not looking to take up a military residency slot, just looking to start my service sooner rather than later as I just turned 32 last week. Any way, looking forward to exploring the information available and getting to acquainted with some of the fine folks here.
