ITC is physical. But it isn't as physical as you might think. Once you're in decent enough shape, it's a matter of not quitting. After that, it's personality. 21 days (that's how long a&s was when I went through) is not a long time. Anyone can be personable for that long. Now you have to be the best you that you can be for over a year. It's not a sprint, it's a marathon. Keep your mouth shut unless what you have to say is 100% useful to your team's situation. Complaining is a surefire way to highlight yourself as immature (at least be entertaining if you're going to do it). It's also a cancer...you start up with negative outbursts and you affect everyone around you. No one is perfect, to include instructors. I may piss of some people by saying it, but it's the truth. Sometimes they don't have the best intentions in mind, sometimes they aren't the most knowledgeable. DO NOT fall into a habit of speaking negatively of them or having an attitude. Regardless of their shortcomings, they are still being run through the ringer every class and their mission is to prepare you. So don't back talk, and take it with a grain of salt when you're patience is low and one of them is being a dickhead. Good luck, and remember that the pool is only once a week. After a session, seven whole days in between!
