Good morning, warriors! I just found this site yesterday and think it rocks. I am a tactical strength and conditioning coach working with DoD. I believe one of the few remaining who are actually govt employees rather than contractors. So, I know I'm very fortunate. Was in the 9th ID almost 30 years ago and since have earned a masters degree, worked in the NFL as a strength coach, own my own training business, helped rehab military with acute spinal cord injuries and traumatic brain injuries for the VA following 911, and for the past almost 5 years have been embedded with the military full-time. It's great, but here's the challenge. There is almost no training to help new coaches prepare to work with the military. I have been very fortunate in that my experience has helped me immensely to prepare for this role. I feel that this site might be very helpful in this regard. Let me leave you with this. Here's what tactical strength and conditioning isn't. It isn't cross-fit, or power-lifting, or strongman training, or marathon participation. It isn't physical therapy or functional movement screens. Have I made my point?
