I got LASIK a few months back and just recently i've made up my mind that I want to go 18x. I've searched everything on google, the army's website, and on here and I can't get a straight answer.
I know during training guys get LASIK and PRK all the time, but in my situation I got it done pre-military service so I was wondering if that disqualifies me from 18x or any further schools like MFF or SFCDQC.
I've been reading a bunch of posts and articles but they are all so inconsistent. Some say you cant waiver into SF with LASIK, some say only PRK is allowed before service, some say you can get into SF now but cant go to MFF or SFCDQC if you had LASIK, some say the rules just recently changed. I just don't know what to believe.
If anyone has any insight into this that would be awesome!
P.s. after the surgery everything went 100% perfect. Im 20/15 vision with no complications and I have every bit of paperwork from it and all the visits ive had since then.
