I'll post this here with permission from family, @Ooh-Rah and all that knew Racing Kitty.
Our sister that many of us have had the pleasure of knowing for many years, personally has crossed into the hands of our Lord, last night after a sudden medical emergency.
I won't go into what happen for privacy but many of us have been in contact with each other and her brother.
Racing Kitty, Helen was like a sister, more sister than my blood sister ever was.
When Kim died in 2013, Helen didn't hesitate to jump on the plane and fly to Philly, staying the weekend with me, making sure I was ok.
Phone call after phone call, when I met my now wife, Maria, Helen was the first person I called to let know that I was dating after loss and when I told her Maria was Puerto Rican, Helen laughed at me, guess that was preparing me.
Then, she flew up a year later to meet Maria. @policemedic was there of course and Maria got a taste of Helen when Helen licked Maria's hair.
More years of calls, texts, Maria knows what Helen meant to me, so, Maria called her and insisted Helen be part of her bridal party, and she was, oh, she was.
Helen will be missed, it leaves a hole in our hearts and while death of a friend usually does that, sometimes, very special people, like RK make a hole so painfully deep that no matter how much you try to fill it, it never is the same.
Pray for her family, especially her daughter and brother.
I pray that Helen is in heaven now, having the stuffing hugged out of her by Chris, her husband that we lost years back.
I pray that Jesus guides her family, friends and all that she had come in contact with.
I pray that each and every one of you that loved her, find solace in knowing that, while she is gone, her memory will live on, forever.
I don't know what else to say.
Rest easy sister. I love you.
