Okay so I’m in the current process of enlisting into the Air Force, I have had ACL reconstructive surgery done on my left knee their is no hardware in me knee at all I run faster jump higher squat more deadlift more leg press more now than I ever have before well my papers got kicked back from meps about 6-7 times now and I get a call from my recruiter yesterday saying that meps hit me with a big DQ but that they had to send it to the Air Force SG and that it could take between 30-45 days to hear back is there anyone on here with a similar story or anything like this that has actually gotten accepted, if so how long did it take, did you end up having to do anything else? Thanks for reading

@Kbrooks6 - My gift to you.... Rah.

I am in the process of enlisting into the Air Force. My medical history includes ACL reconstructive surgery on my left knee, there is no hardware in my knee.

Post surgery I have found that my running, jumping, and lifting has improved significantly. However, my papers have been rejected by MEP's a number of times and my recruiter has informed me that I have been DQ'd.

MEPs is sending my paperwork to the Air Force SG for review (30 to 45 days) and I am checking in to see if any members here have had similar experiences? Specifically wondering if you might know of any other options I can try to get past MEPs?

Thank you!

I'm not going full Grammar Nazi on you, but your post is one of the hardest to read that I've ever seen. It doesn't matter if you're on your phone or not, breaking that into sentences actually matters. Flat out, some folks stopped reading by the second line and there's no telling who passed on this thread as a result.

Good luck.

There's no "getting past MEPs". If the USAF Surgeon General denies you, that's it for the Air Force. You can try getting a waiver with another service.
