Merry Xmas to Shadow spear

Merry Christmas.

Please take at least two minutes and reach out to someone you haven’t in a while. You’ll be amazed how much that means to them.
True. I quit my job about 6 months ago. This morning, I casually texted Merry Christmas! to two peers that I worked with, and liked, and we ended up having conversations. One had a stroke since I left and I didn't even know it. He told me my text meant a lot to him.

I played Dungeons and Dragons quite a bit when I was in junior high and high school, but when I left for college there was probably a 20-year or so gap in between sessions.

We recently hosted a veterans' weekend at West Point that included a D&D session, and my wife was kind enough to round out the party with us.

One of the things that is new to me in the way D&D is currently played is the concept of "dice jail." If a die doesn't give you the results you want often enough, it gets put into dice jail and is shamed until it wants to start acting right again.

Of course, a die doesn't consciously decide to roll "bad," but it's still fun.

For Christmas this year, my wife got me a dice time-out chair, that came with its own dunce cap. Now I am fully ready to shame my bad dice, until they start rolling right!
😉
