My Random TV Thread

Thanks for the insight. I am not going to watch it because of the 'soft porn' thing, but I appreciate your open-minded review.

It is less gratuitous than something like GOT. I think people were more just surprised as the first 3-5 episodes didn’t have much inkling that was to come.....pun intended.

We started watching Meat Eater in Netflix, follows this guys hunting and fishing, then he'll dress, clean, and cook his prey. Only watched a couple episodes, but we've really liked it. It's hard to find a show that everyone can watch and like, male and female, ages 10-52,

Excellent stuff. I have some of his cookbooks.

I’m really into this show. I appreciate that he shows the success and failures. One episode in particular he wounded an animal (deer) bow hunting and never found it. He tried...for a long time...but never found it. It would have been easy not to broadcast that one, but he showed that it can happen to a pro too; and how you should handle it.

I’ve seen it described as softcore porn. Is this true?
It's basically a Victorian-era Harlequin romance with the bedroom door wide open every episode.
Full disclosure I tend to like her shows. Grey’s Anatomy - till they won the lotto and bought the hospital; I also watched Scandal.
"Do you not understand that when the monster gets hungry he will turn around and eat you?" - Best monster ever.
"Fuck you, fuck you, fuck you, you're cool, and fuck you, I'm out!" - Also the best monster ever.
I’m telling you guys, this is a really good show. Smartly written, and fantastic acting.

I cannot tell you the last time I watched a Network show, NetFlix/Apple/Amazon are putting out amazing stories; we are in the renaissance of great television.
Too whimsical and quaint-seeming on the surface to be my kind of show, but it turned out better than I thought, despite having more predictable general plot and drama hooks than her other series. Wasn't enough to get me invested in the main protagonists, but I did correctly call out Lady Thistledown about midway through the season. The secondary characters in general caught more of my interest.

Rimes is an absolute genius when it comes to knowing winning show recipes that appeal to a huge range of people.

SEASON 1 of DEX is done! Moving to 2. I forgot how annoying Debra was and how attractive Rita is. I'm just to the part where Doakes starts following him around everywhere and it's messing up Dexter's chi ??!?!?!?!!!!

:ninja: O_o :ROFLMAO:
Suhprise, muthafucka!
Ditto to the above, just got through the 2nd episode. Also, Masuka's little stoner laugh never fails to crack me up.

Absolutely! The original movie release dates would make that the next movie coming out. I like these shows filling in the gaps between movies and introducing new canon.

Just found this.

Wow that is great find I have my theory that
Agnes is a witch who is working for Mephistopheles and wants to breakdown the magic barrier but can’t so she is using Wanda to do it

The actor playing Reacher really impressed me. I honestly didn’t think he could pull off such a character given I always saw him play more goofy type characters such as Thad Castle from Blue mountain state

That's where I know him from!
