I watched it last night and thought it was really well done. You're absolutely right- the History Channel finally has something besides fucking reality TV shows. The Discovery Channel should take note.Live To Tell looks promising as a docu-series and may actually give the History Channel something worth watching again. First episode (this week) is about Marc Lee.
I'm liking it so far but only 2 episodes have aired so far. Like most adapted to screen books it strays, and that's all I'll say about it until you can watch it. It is filmed in Lithuania though so I have a bias towards watching it...lolWho's going to watch the War & Peace miniseries starting Jan 18?

I'm currently binge watching The League.
Does one have to get football references, to enjoy The League? Or can you just jump into it, like It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia?I'm currently binge watching The League.
No, you don't need to know football. A lot of the humor is just guys talking shit to one another...Does one have to get football references, to enjoy The League? Or can you just jump into it, like It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia?
I love Lisa and Preacher Man. The show is so intense. . Every time I hear that ice crack as they are going across and they have their doors open I get freaked out. Really good show and glad Lisa changed companies. One of my guilty pleasures...

Could be way off bI've been watching Billions. Really well acted and an enticing plot about insider trading (hard to do IMO).
Does Martha Stewart have a role in that-lol. Sounds intriguing but way over my head.I've been watching Billions. Really well acted and an enticing plot about insider trading (hard to do IMO).
Mercenaries on Netflix, kinda of dry, but goes over some of Executive Outcomes and Sandline Int, operations in Africa. If you are into that history you might like it.

Thank you! I just put that on my list on Netfilx tonight.
I didn't know they covered EO, though I should've guessed they did. I interviewed with them in South Africa back in the 90's actually. They said they were going to take me on as training cadre in Angola. I left before it happened.
I also interviewed with Sandline (or their precursor, I don't immediately recall) they humored me like a silly boy as I wasn't SAS as they assumed I originally was, due to me having their contact info (which I was given by an SAS guy (I'm sure he was spoken to about that...)).
So I went to start watching this tonight on Netflix and it had mysteriously disappeared...
Guess I need to get Direct TV hooked up again.Vikings is starting soon!!
