My Random TV Thread

In that last shot, it looked like quite a few of the living character's faces were in those sconces. I mean, it looks like Danaerys' face is to the right of Dinklage, and Arya's face is right below it. Unless they plan on killing off, like, everyone, I'm not sure of the significance of the shot.
I thought the same. Sansa's face to the viewer's left of Dinklage?

Maybe the Whitewalkers win?! They better not turn it into another zombie film... <==starting rumors.

I'm starting to dislike the series. The consistent killing off of good characters to be replaced by mediocre ones is becoming tedious at best.

I agree and disagree with you here...Part of me likes it because it makes it interesting not your typical show..However I agree it is getting old when they replace it with a character who can't hold your attention...

  • Description

  • The Draft

What is the price of citizenship in time of war? What are the limits to government authority over the liberty of a free people? Does the military draft have a place in American democracy? Since the birth of the United States these questions have driven a defining national debate.

The Draft will unpack the history and the arguments that have shaped military conscription in the United States. In the era of the war on terror and today's volunteer army, the question of who serves in America's military has molded battle strategy, driven foreign policy, and forced Americans in uniform to serve for years on distant battlefields. Ever since Lincoln imposed a national draft in the Civil War to the conflicts of the Vietnam era, forced military service has torn the nation apart-and sometimes, as in WWII, united Americans in a common purpose. Vivid, contemporary, and probing, The Draft features searing stories and intimate interviews with the people who have fought the draft, supported it, and lived its realities. It tells the story of how a single, controversial issue continues to define a nation.

This DVD features subtitles in English

Vikings has returned and without giving away too much:

If I had the opportunity to make Lagertha tingle in her female parts through a little murder, I'd pull the trigger. She looked like she was about to beat the Viking in the pink longship at the end of that scene.

Working my way through Mad Men right now. Gotta find time to watch Season 4 of House of Cards soon.
