My Random TV Thread

I've been meaning to sit down and get into Westworld with the wife. She's currently doing American Horror Story: Hotel. That one lost me after episode 1. Stranger Things was one of the best things I've seen in a while. Game of Thrones needs to hurry itself up. Super ready for The Walking Dead to return on Sunday and see who get's Lucille'd. My prediction is both Abe and Glenn now that the showrunner has hinted that more than one person dies in the premier.

I'm almost caught up with Daredevil. I don't think it was he finest of productions but it has evolved in the second season and I'm sure a bigger budget helped with that. I'm now looking forward to the Punisher and The Defenders.

The new show Timeless is somewhat entertaining but not sure if it'll survive the cut.

Started watching Goliath on Amazon. Billy Bob Thornton always plays the same character it seems. But it's pretty good so far.

Watching "Poldark" at the moment. It's pretty good, and Eleanor Tomlinson is hot as fuck.

Damn I love redheads.

This is the platoon from Generation Kill. Captain Morel replaced Captain Fick. Blue Skies.

The Marines of 1st Platoon, Bravo Company — one of the most decorated platoons for heroism in a single action in the War on Terror — dismounted and assaulted the enemy, estimated to be anywhere between 30 and 100 strong. They fought through fear, chaos, and enemy positions alike, remaining calm in the face of overwhelming fire, and ultimately, won the day. But victory came at a heavy price. Their platoon commander, Capt. Brent Morel, was fatally wounded leading the assault on the enemy position.

Not crazy about "reenactors" but will give this one a chance. One of my favorite "reality" series of all time is Nat Geo's Inside Combat Rescue.

I've been to @amlove21 's house a couple times, and he has every episode digitally remastered and reformatted for his widescreen. He forced me to stay awake until we watched every episode while he re-enacted all the scenes in his living room.

Funny enough, this actually came out earlier this year, although it was titled "Live to Tell," and from what I gather didn't get a whole lot of coverage. But apparently it did well enough for the History Channel to do a quasi re-release/second season. Good on them for seeing the potential in this show!

As a side note, one of the producers and consultants on the show, Mike B., is a good friend of mine:
