What's The Unit about? Like a top not so secret military unit?

Based on a unit like Delta Force with advising by CSM (R) Eric Haney, a former Delta Operator. I thought it was kind of cheesy, but it had a good run.

The Brits had a similar show called Ultimate Force.

Few episodes on Youtube out there.

I think both shows are ridiculous. Sometimes it's hard to suspend reality.

I've never heard of that book.

I've read the book and watched the show. I didn't think the two were very connected. The book is somewhat controversial as some of Haney's teammates have claimed that he provided too much info about Delta and that although he was an original member of Delta, he was not the founder he claimed to be. I liked the book a lot, from a historical perspective, but not the show. My .02
