My Random TV Thread

On a lark I decided to watch the pilot episode for The Crown.

I've binged to episode 4 on my day off. The episode with the king's death, her trip to Kenya, etc....that was really well done. Even the Queen Mother bending the knee? We are not in Westeros.

I like a lot of the Marvel shows, but I just cannot seeing myself shelling out $X/month for yet another subscription service. Sorry Disney.

The Real Reasons Netflix Is Cancelling Their Marvel Shows

I was talking about that tonight with my colleagues. They're just far too late and with Netflix, Hulu, Amazon and HBO all providing quality stuff...this is just one subscription too far. Look at the music streaming services- noone wants to pay a third option.

Finished 2nd season of Westworld over the weekend. They lost me. I'm guessing they lost others as well since it wasn't really discussed here. Maybe it was the time between seasons but I found it to be a convoluted and uncompelling story.

I hope I don't feel the same with the last season of GoT.

I went all the way through WW season 2. I kept asking my wife, "What just happened?" It's a shame because I like the Ed Harris character and would like to be the guy playing that part.

Re: GoT -- After all this time, and with the track record they've compiled so far, they have to make it well worth the wait.

Rewatching 'Adventure Time', the last season aired and concluded earlier this year. For a cartoon about a boy hero/adventurer and his magical dog brother, the show was both lighthearted and dark. The finale and last season were kinda flooded with SJW themes... otherwise it was a fun and silly show.

Anyone watching BBC’s Bodyguard on Netflix? Just started today and it’s pretty good. These 2 trailers got me interested.

The next season should come out in Jan/Feb. If you liked that also checkout Victoria on PBS.

I’m already losing interest in GoT since it’s been so long. May try to rewatch the series to get back into it.
